Drift Dev Update: Mid October

Hey everyone, here’s a quick progress update.

Act 3’s writing is about 90% finished. There’s one section I’ve been stuck on for a while because it’s a particularly heavy moment that still needs more polish. I want to make sure it feels right before calling it complete. Once the writing is finished, I still have to script everything into the engine, which will take some time, but the groundwork is nearly there.

The Act 3 demo will continue to use the same placeholder visuals for now. Unlike Act 2, most of the existing assets are being reused or repurposed in this part of the story, so updating them isn’t a priority yet. I do finally have a potential character artist lined up. We are still in the early stages and sketching out ideas, but I’ll share more when there is something ready to show.

There’s still no background artist yet, so the AI disclaimer will remain on the Itch page until all of those placeholder assets are replaced.

More updates soon, and hopefully next time I’ll have new art to share.
